Imperas will be participating with presentations during the virtual event including live Q&A discussions with the Imperas technical team

Arm DevSummit 2020

Imperas Software Ltd., the leader in high-performance software simulation and virtual platforms, today announced their participation at the Arm DevSummit 2020 virtual event with technical presentations plus interactive online Q&A discussions with the speakers.

Presentation: ‘Virtual Prototypes for Low Power, Mixed Level Safety Critical Systems’

  • Speaker:         Duncan Graham – Imperas Software
  • Co-Author:     Kim Grüttner – OFFIS – Institute for Information Technology
  • Co-Author:     Larry Lapides – Imperas Software
  • When:             Tuesday October 6th, 9:30am PDT / 5:30pm BST

Abstract: Critical Real-Time Embedded Systems face multiple challenges including the need to support mixed-criticality applications, power and timing restrictions and a need to develop and test these complex devices and the accompanying software. This paper describes the architecture of such a system, and the virtual prototype environment used for system and software development and testing.

Presentation: ‘Extending Cortex-M33 with Custom Instructions for Security Algorithms’

  • Speaker:         Simon Davidmann – Imperas Software
  • Co-Author:     Lee Moore – Imperas Software
  • When:             Wednesday October 7th, 9:30am PDT / 5:30pm BST

Abstract: Security considerations are critical for all embedded designs, while a standard embedded processor performs well across general applications the particular algorithms involved with security often create code hot spots in critical loops, and thus vulnerabilities to side-channel attacks. An approach based on custom instructions not only optimizes the performance but provides additional safe guards.
